King Canute......

A glorious day so we headed off to the beach. The boys built a castle beside the sea and spent at least 30 mins trying hard to defeat the tide. They were ably assisted by their young assistant who just looked. I finished my book and was thankful yet again that my sister is more organised than me. She had brought a picnic! There are few things more perfect than sunshine, tea, a book, a beach and happy children.
