Highden Manor

After being kept awake by a snoring Malaysian man last night, we made our way feeling very tired to Palmerston North for our next Wwoofing job at Highden Manor. There is a quote in the Lonely Planet guide from John Cleese, which says "if you ever do want to kill yourself, but lack the courage, I think a visit to Palmerston North will do the trick". Let's hope I have a better time than John Cleese did!

My picture is of Highden Manor. It is the third largest privately owned building in New Zealand. I spent my first afternoon here chopping broccoli and carrots in the kitchen. It is pretty cold and our little cottage (Camelot) does not have any heating, just a little log burner, brrrrr.....
