Practice (practise?) makes perfect. I'm getting there. If I squint a bit on a close up, I can see the crater. Honest.

It is has been a tad blowy today. And a bit rainy. But I did get the ironing done and a haircut, so that's good.

Not so good was the news that the replacement valve for the boiler is completely different to the broken valve so needs the whole system draining down for it to be fitted. Not enough time for that today so no heating until Monday. Lucky we kept the immersion tank when we had it all replaced!

Brownies started back tonight so Lily went to Callum's, another rugby dad took Ally to training and Bella went to Guides. Red decided to be a Brownie. Which is nice.

First day at college tomorrow. I have made my packed lunch, found a school bag (but no pencil case) and purchased a lovely new notebook. I am telling myself that those butterflies are excitement...
