Rose

What a wet and windy day today, so different from yesterday! And because of that, and a list of jobs actions to perform, I didn't get out till it momentarily dried up just before 5pm.

So today's blip is a close up of a rose. This was one of a bunch of ten that I bought for Mrs TPV today, but when I got them home we found that although it had been held tightly in place by the rest of the bunch, it was actually damaged and separated from it's stem.

Damaged by what others had done to it at some time, but still valuable, still worthwhile, still very delicate and with a beauty all of its own. In order to enjoy it, we have put it and its very tiny stem in a little vase (well actually an egg-cup!) while the other nine are in a more 'normal' vase.

Just like this rose, people who have been damaged require extra care, but just like this rose, they are beautiful and valuable too.
