The Funeral

I had meetings in Edinburgh today followed by a funeral at Warriston Crematorium this afternoon.

It was MrsT's Uncle Ian's Dad who sadly passed away aged 90 after a short illness. I represented our family and circumstances aside it was nice to see the family as they stay down south.

It was a short service, very poignant though finding out about his life pre war and of course post war. It makes you appreciate your life when you consider this man has been through WW2 and travelled the world in the Royal Navy.

There was drinks and a buffet back at the Starbank Inn at Newhaven which was 300 yards from where he was born.

The pub sits at the bottom of the hill right next to the sea. A very nice setting.
