Wet and Sunny

this is a back blip.

What a mix bag weather wise today.

As usual I was up with A and R so we headed out for a walk fairly early, even though it was raining pretty heavily. Nothing some goretex and wellies can't fix We ended getting the wee passanger ferry over to Easdale Island. They played on the swings outside the hall for a while and then we headed off in search of rock pools and crabs but sadly the tide was in, so no rock pools. This blip is of them building a slate island with some old rusty wires. They are very deep in concentration here, it was a lovely time. The sun was starting to come out at this point and we managed to get our waterproofs off.

We headed back to the cottage iin time to meet Aunty S and Granny for lunch at the Oyster bar. It is a nice place, and the food usually is good, but note to self. Ask if Fish Cakes are homemade.

After lunch we wandered over to the new hall and the girls were doing lots of scottish country dancing with Aunty S on the decking at the back. By this time the weather was scorching. We then headed down to the shore where A and R were determined to dip there toes in.

A great holiday day. In the evening we watched Dial M for Murder, the original.
