Baby in a box. I only meant to pop him in for a minute but he loved it and spent about half an hour in there, grinning up at me every so often. He spent a long time sitting playing on the floor as well and only toppled once. He has very good balance.

Amelie spent the morning refusing to get dressed because that would mean she was ready for nursery, which she didn't want to go to. She didn't want lunch either for the same reason. Then she cried all the way to nursery because her collar on her jacket was annoying her. She cried when we got into nursery too. Then one of the staff came over and took her and as I left I could see she was already smiling. The problem, I suspect, is most of her friends have gone to school and there are loads of really little ones starting. Who are all crying a lot. Once one starts it sets them all off. I'm looking forward to everything being a bit more settled in a month or so.

I fully intended going to baby explorers today with Isaac but he slept right through when the class was on. Next week maybe!

He didn't sleep, however, when he was supposed to this afternoon. So after demolishing quiche, baby corn and sweet potato chips for tea he has had an early night.

I think I'm going to join him.
