Lucky

Friday 13th was definitely lucky for us as we welcomed a fabulous family of five to Edinburgh for the weekend. They arrived after an epic drive through the night. We drank tea and ate flapjacks and gingerbread before lunch and then filled our lungs with fresh air, our heads with each others news and feasted our eyes on the next generation of little friends, playing, smiling, chatting and immediately warm and attentive.

E was surprisingly tolerant and very accepting that her toys were to be shared and as N opted for his Daddy's shoulders on the way home from Dean Gardens, E was slightly in awe of his scooter and dumbfounded and beaming smiles when Auntie Lucy encouraged her to hop on and be pulled along.

Here are some snippets from the mouth of our wonderful Godson:

"It's not a magic bed, it's a fun bed."

"Excuse me, the girl needs her hot milk... And her rabbit."

"Uncle Chris, this chair needs some painting."

"Coming right up..."

"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, he had some pigs, hey!"
