Bread delivery

I went jogging this morning in Dar es Salaam here in Tanzania. It is always so much fun to run through the university campus when the air is still crisp and the spectacular pink sunrise fills the sky. There is one 'hill' on campus which makes the middle of the run a bit challenging but mostly it is a flat route.

I am staying in the guest house in the project. With more than 100 kids to look after, the management are trying their best with the limited budget they have. But then you hear that there is a challenge with water. Apparently our borehole had a pump which broke down. They tried to get the pump out to repair it but when hoisting it out, it feel back into the hole and could not be recovered. We then hear that the well is not deep enough so we need to drill another and of course, none of this is in our budget.

And there I was flushing the toilet like there was no tomorrow and showering as if there was an endless supply of the precious stuff.
