Hatching plans for supper
If Jamie Oliver and Gordon Ramsey come to the door offering to cook a fabulous meal without charge I would have to shake my head and kindly send them on their way. I have my own resident chefs de cuisine.
This afternoon Huw decided to re-organize his Asian ingredients and rationalize the spice collection (everything from aljowan to za'atar) while Gwyn pondered the choice of recipe options in his Iranian cookbook, using our available items.
The meal that he served up four and half hours later consisted of:
aubergine and yogurt dip,
chickpea salad,
lambs' liver kebabs,
freshly-made flatbreads.
It was awesome.
Poor Jamie and Gordon could be heard whimpering outside as we licked our lips.
