Bramble or blackberry?

Had a conversation about this recently and decided to look it up.

"brambles are nothing more than dense, overgrown, either wild or unkept domesticated blackberry or raspberry bushes"

So, a blackberry can be a bramble but a bramble can't be a blackberry.

I hope you like my brambles. There seems to be a bumper crop everywhere just now.
