Dull day at Fleetwood Marina
Fleetwood is part of the Greater Blackpool conurbation and in its heyday was a Victorian seaside resort in its own right. The town overlooks the beautiful Morcambe Bay and there is a ferry terminal where the Stena Line connects Fleetwood with Larne in Ireland. At the retail outlet on the outskirts of the town there is a thriving marina, Freeport Marina, which we visited today. It was such a dull day however, with such heavy intermittent showers and a sometimes gale force wind that by the time I’d taken this picture I couldn’t even feel the tips of my fingers they were so cold! And a few shots at 1/60 sec didn’t take very long at all!
