Scottish Cup Final
Best laid plans? Everything was set for a piss up of gigantic proportions, 24 seater bus booked, hotel bar booked and tickets for the game bought and collected. This year the Pars where going to lift the cup!
Got home from work on Friday to find that the cold Reidar Jnr had had for the last three days had taken a turn for the worst, he was struggling to breathe and I took him up to the Queen Margaret Hospital in Dunfermline to get checked out. Next up was a trip out to Kirkcaldy and the Victoria Hospital, thankfully grandparents where quickly on the scene to look after Jnr2. So after a few prods and tests the outcome was undecided. Most likely a viral chest infection. Thankfully we got home that night or should I say morning and Jnr has a course of steroids and an asthmatic air pump to be used as and when he needs it. They mentioned asthma a few times but he's too young to find out right now if he has it or not.
So come match time we sat and watched the Pars lose the cup final on TV. Better team on the day, best moment was Adam Hammill chipping Neil Lennon in midfield and running off with the ball, ha! Only thing we had missing was a striker who could find the net up front. Celtic relied on a toe poke to trundle into the net to win the game, what a rubbish way to win the match. So gutted I didn't actually make it to Hampden but relief that Jnr is on the mend :)
