After The Storm
A bonus play date. The typhoon did its worse during the night. The noise woke me up at 0315 and it was still hammering away three hours later. A kei ho was in force (that's a severe weather warning) so all schools were closed, including ours. As luck would have it, by 0900 the typhoon had passed and the sun was shining. Valerie and Arthur studied in the morning, I did some work I needed to do for school and then cleaned all the windows, screen doors and nets.
In the afternoon, I took Arthur to the park while Valerie went to play at her friend's house. It was a glorious afternoon. The park was littered with these (I think) coconut husks which had blown down from the trees. No sign of any coconuts, though. Someone else got lucky in the typhoon, it seems. I found this husk on the climbing frame exactly as you see it.
I had a tough time deciding which photograph to use so I let Valerie decide for me. She said she liked the colours and the composition in this photo. The other choices can be seen in my blipfolio.
