Bloom

Beautiful morning!! we thought today the weather forecasters had it wrong, they said "rain all week" for the second week since Spring arrived two weeks ago.
We started with a beautiful blue sky and wispy white fluffy clouds.
But alas its mid afternoon here now, the threatening front i saw rolling in from the ocean earlier has arrived! its almost dark here now as dark as night! One mega storm looks imminent!
I quickly got my bloom blip this morning, this is a very wet "Day Lilly" they are the most hardiest toughest little plant to be able to take the torrents of rain we have been getting, the flower lasts for exactly as its name suggests one day!! Ordinarily on a fine day we would have had so much pleasure in seeing it too, this little bloom will be gone by tomorrow so i think it deserves to be my blip today there were lots of buds and flowers on the shrub...
As i speak the rain is now lashing against the windows sheets of it in torrents, the wind is howling! It feels and looks like mid-winter!! Batten down the hatches!! :-)
