One of those moments

This was totally unplanned and unexpected. I was moving in close to the tree to take a photo of a leaf when this tui crashed in and landed virtually under my nose. I had just time to press the shutter once before he registered I was there and took off in a great flurry of wings.

Much more interesting than a leaf.

NOTE: I really am sorry I haven't commented on many of your journals over the past week. I've had limited internet since last Wednesday while I've been away, and then I got home last night to a computer that won't go. Well darn!! I hadn't factored in the cost of a new one just now so I'm praying really hard that my computer whizz can fix it for me next week.

In the meantime, I will whittle away at your journals through the week.
