This place has been a treasure. It is somewhat off the main tourist trail, only one holiday apartment complex in the village. Like Plaka where we have been staying on the hillside behind it, the place is full of locals, ex pats and holiday villas.

Therefore here you really are in a place where the pace is slow. If you want buzzy and bars and fast then this is not the place for you. A place to unwind and then see where that takes you? Then this is Almyrida.
