The dinner that never should have been

Spent most of today running people about for no reason. Started off with a tennis lesson for mum that I booked weeks ago. Coach didn't turn up but thankfully I waited around as I had my suspicions that it would all go belly up. A few angry emails later there are profuse apologies and complementary lessons all over the place. Unfortunately mum can't take advantage of them as she is only here a couple of weeks and we had booked all the ones she could do already.

Then dropped the wife off at the airport as she is going to Chicago until tuesday for the start of her new study meeting.

We take babe with us and go for a nice walk along the bay at shelter island. Come home and wash and shave babe so she is ready for her mountain vacation next weekend. Get several texts from the wife saying plane is delayed as one flap is bigger than the other. After almost taking off, going back to the gate and waiting 1.5 hrs on plane to try and fix it they give up and cancel flight. No more flights until tomorrow. So I drive back down to pick her up. She flies tomorrow and misses half the meeting, flying back tues afternoon. Such a waste of time and money.

So instead of mum and I eating left overs we go to BJ brewery restaurant were I first met my wife!
