First of many emergency blips

A thoroughly enjoyable Kids Club on the beach was on the menu for today...with some absolutely adorable children. There are not many on-site at the moment, which means two of us and only five children...I kind of hope that there will be more come high season! But at the same time, I feel a little like I'm running and planning most of what happens in the Kids Club, but it will probably change as we both get some more experience!

Today we had a sandcastle competition on the beach, which somehow managed to last for two hours! Admittedly, it started as a competition and then turned into "let's make a mega-sandcastle and decorate it with loads of shells". The children were all so proud of their creation that they individually dragged their parents down to the beach to show them what they had done! The only problem with the Kids Club to be completely honest was that the weather is still a little chilly, and although I'm pretty happy in a t-shirt and shorts I could see that without their jackets the children may have started to shiver just a tiny bit! Saying that, it is only the beginning of summer and we are living in Brittany so you never know what will happen...
