A Practical Souvenir
Phil and I travel with small carry-on suitcases and a briefcase (him) and large purse (me) to stash under the plane seats in front of us, so we have little room for souvenirs.
However, this handknit Icelandic wool cap was irresistible, practical, and took up very little space in my suitcase. I bought it on a day I still need to backblip, September 11, when our friends Agnes and Berglind took us on an amazing daylong road trip. It included a rest stop where a wide range of goods made by local women -- Íslenskt handverk -- were for sale, and I fell in love with the colors of this wool cap.
Jet lag is still slowing me down, but I hope to get September 11 and 12 backblipped soon.
