Took a detour on the way home...

...played on the cliff top trains in lynton, in the rain, ate ginger & honey cream teas WITH real leaf tea... the ROADTRIP was spoilt by the Satnav putting us on the motorway sooner than we wanted. I was Louise, the more balanced one with the intriguing personality, he was Thelma, the model housewife...that didn't impress him one bit...but it was my birthday treat and I got to make up the rules.

we've made a pack to visit Lynton & Lynmouth again when its not raining...looks a lovely little place.
