Oh for goodness sake!

Tomorrow is the Edinburgh autumn holiday.

In October most schools will have a week's holiday, remnant of an agricultural holiday given to school-children so that they could help with the harvest (tattie-howkin week here).

Then we have guising at hallowe'en, bonfires and fireworks on 5th November, St Andrew's Day on 30th November.

This supermarket has decided it is time to get the chocolate Santa Clauses and boxes of biscuits out.
