Tunnel vision....

As we still have nowhere to sit, I set the oven to automatic timer and we went for a walk this afternoon, leaving dinner to cook while we were out. When we started the sun was just about still shining and it was very pleasant.

We followed a bridle path through beautiful glades, and passed bushes laden with ripe blackberries, elderberries and sloes. Then the rain came down and was set to stay. My boots proved not to be waterproof and my trousers got decidedly muddy and soggy.

No complaints, because dinner smelt delicious when we got home and there was just time for a hot shower before making the gravy and serving up.

(First time I had used the automatic timer too...!)
