...the engagement

We've been together for five years today, so I guess it was about time. I proposed in our hostel at Montmartre in Paris, though we had agreed about the wedding already months ago.

Last Saturday we fastened a lock with our names written on it to the bridge Passerelle Leopold Sedar Sanghor, which crosses Seine. There were quite many locks on the handrail o the bridge already. Marrying (or engaged) couples did the same in St Petersburg.

Though Paris is considered to be a romantic city this doesn't have anything to do with Paris in particular. The same events would've taken place probably in a similar manner also if we had spent last week for instance in London. Paris just was one of many interesting places we've wanted to visit for a long time.
