Bug hunting

We spent a lovely morning in the woods with Claire and the gang hunting for bugs. The kids used nets to sweep the grass and put their findings into little trays and we actually found quite a few bugs I've either never seen or never noticed before. Also, one frog was found and there was quite a high ratio of slugs, unsurprisingly. Then we went to the leafy bit under the canopy. There was a lot less bug life there but Monkey loved playing in the soil and the leaves and Chickpea had a great time tree climbing with George. They also helped the older children make a den and climbed a really big hill.

In the evening we went to SDB's for dinner and had a really nice time catching up. C learned a new poo song which was especially exciting for her! ;) She taught Z her poo song, too so I think we are even!
