Not quite a total washout.......

With expectations set very high, we were off to Bort Les Orgues today - one of the best Raptor migration watchpoints in the Dordogne and at the height of the migration season. Unfortunately, nobody had requested some good weather and it rained all day - a total washout and not a bird seen.
However, it's the start of the Deer rutting season here in France, so we went to a Deer watchpoint and there were.... no Deer....
On the way home however, we saw this doe Roe Deer just near our friends house and I managed to get a photo before she shot off into the woods. Fantastic!
What a great day.
