Shock

Jnr Snr has some friends around this afternoon for her 10th birthday party. Cakes, pizza, cakes, Bugsy Malone and cakes.

I feel a little shocked, most of these guys are in my class - not the normal Sunday company I keep! As they are in Jnr Snr's cohort, I've always known them quite well throughout school, they are such a great bunch of kids and I adore teaching them. Such top personalities and just a lovely lot. However, for her sake I think I'll retreat upstairs and leave them to it so they don't feel like their teacher is watching over them.

I'm off to see my absolute musical hero this evening - Justin Currie. He's playing solo in Salford and I'm a tad giddy.
