Il bel far niente

Today was a fine day for wandering about. We went off to a new café (for us) on Fountainbridge and meandered around the area. I went into the Art Shop I usually walk by when it's closed. I can't draw to save my life but I love the idea of fresh canvases, paints, brushes... At least I can use a pencil. :-)

In the evening we went to the fabulous Filmhouse to see The Great Beauty. I'm still digesting it the next day. It has its flaws but its beauty is great. Certainly made me want to go to Rome. And speak Italian. And dance!



I'm grateful to have a weekend free of work.
I'm grateful for Dr T's fine company.
I'm grateful for the cafés and cinemas this wonderful city offers, and for the time and means to enjoy them.
