Sygun Copper Mine near Bedgelert. having settled the van into a cosy spot l walked down the road to the bridge and into the old mine. next day we climbed the hills behind the mine and came down a track at the back of the mine. it was a fascinating walk with lots of old mineworkings and abandoned buildings - pity it was raining!! the two wheels were used raise water to wash the ore. the mine is a heritage mine and can be visited.
