Small Tortoiseshell
The buddleia is now more brown than blue but still attracting Peacock butterflies and others. The flower bed is full of colour and this afternoon really buzzing with bees and hoverflies. Picture is a small tortoiseshell butterfly.
[added later] Just seen a small piece in the press which says that this is the commonest butterfly in Scotland with the peacock coming in at number 7. Got to say that recently I've seen far more peacocks but I expect there must be a lot of regional/habitat variation.
