SHCT Cycle Ride

C & I were bullied by P&M from church to do the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust sponsored cycle ride. We agreed on condition that they get the sponsors. Unfortunately M was very good at getting sponsors, so we had no excuse.

We left home just after 9:30 and arrived back at about 15:45. We only visited 6 churches, but we did 20 miles in the process. We visited St Mary in Wherstead (our local), St Mary in Tattingstone, St Peter in Stutton, St Mary in Harkstead, All Saints in Holbrook, Methodist in Holbrook (which we attend) & St Peter in Freston. We stopped at the Compasses Inn in Holbrook for their Portuguese steak for lunch. It was not on the menu anymore but they asked the chef to make it for us. Maybe C looked so tired and desperate that they felt sorry for him. It was nice anyway - of them and the steak.

The blip is of St Mary in Wherstead. It is our local church, but we've never been inside as it is always locked due to vadalism. It is a beautiful, small little church; it may even be my favourite of the day.

It was a nice day out, but the next person who says that Suffolk is flat gets punched on the nose!!!
