Nice Surprises

Was feeling a little under the weather this past week. I suppose a lack of sleep and the rainy weather didn't add to any cheeriness. So it was such a nice surprise when the doorbell rang and Gary brought in the most beautiful bouquet of flowers. The color of the arrangement were all my favorite colors-deep orange, reds and vibrant yellows. Earthy and beautiful! By Gary's reaction, they obviously weren't from him! And he knows how much I love flowers. They can instantly change any gloomy mood into a better one. And since Fall is my favorite time of the year, the gloomy day turned into a serene day. I must have taken twenty pictures, arranging them in different areas of the room. Noticing the background colors in each place. The beautiful colors of the flowers matched my tile in the kitchen! My beloved wooden carousel horse popped out in the background. All my favorites seemed to surround me like a great big hug! And I realized a simple gesture like this from so far away from our new friends, made me feel all the more grateful, humbled, and loved!

Therefore, I am so thankful for the people we meet in our life. Their kindness meant the world to me today, Thank you, Karen and Andy. You made my day more than you know. xoxo
