Thank You Pressie

A hectic evening. The large group of which I'm secretary put on many small functions each year with all profits going to selected local charities. But one evening every autumn we stage a big fish 'n' chip supper with assorted chargeable extras on offer (reiki, head/shoulder massage etc). Tonight was it - we catered for 114 people. Us committee members play our parts - setting up the hall on the afternoon, then making it all function at night.
Tonight I covered meet & greet, showing folks to tables, then ushering folks to their appropriate therapist at the appropriate times. After the main course, myself and Trish took a dessert trolley around, dishing and serving up gateaux, profiteroles etc for all 114. It's darned hectic work, though highly enjoyable. Now I'm home, and my feet ache! lol
Table decor is provided at cost price by one of our members , now retired but a very good florist in her time.At the end of the evening each of us ladies who've 'done our bit ' to make it all happen smoothly is presented with one of the table arrangements as a 'thank you' - this is mine.
