The prodigal sun

Just taking an iPhone shot and shoving it straight into an iPhone app so I can't really tell if this is any good but I think it's okay.
Today the sun came back with a bloody great cheeky grin on its face and cheered me up no end. I hung out 5 million loads of washing and that's a fact (count 'em, Katie Melua) and Tess went off for a day long birthday party (crazy parents), then Joel, Richard and I had lunch in the garden and then went for a bike ride.
When we got back I did a bit of gardening, wrapped Mum's birthday present, tidied up and cleaned the loo, brought in (and hung on airers!) all the washing, got changed and tarted myself up, and then Mum turned up and we all went to the pub for her birthday tea.
I 've had a bit of a dull headache all day so didn't drink much but Mum and Richard did and I'm pretty sure Mum had a really nice day.

My head is full of one or two things which I can't share here unfortunately. I'll just say I'm feeling a bit emotional and found a couple of things a struggle but I believe I pulled out all the stops and hid it quite well.
