Sunflower Competition

At the primary school this morning was the sunflower competition in categories ranging from tallest, shortest to most heads, with varying supporting acts of cake decorating, flower arranging and 'fun in the sun' photographic competitions. Here you can see the sunflower judges duly deciding on the winners.

The main hall shared the children's book fair with the cake stall and seating for tea / coffee drinkers. A corner of it was given over to parents wishing our very young youngster well. At one point, mothers queued for a cuddle!!

Unfortunately our sunflowers didn't make the grade, but encouragingly, our daughters walked away with first prize in the photography competition! Young Blippers in the making I'm sure!
