Not such a dead sheep...
At the end of another full-on day, I've been enjoying watching the third and final part of Margaret Thatcher - the Downing Street years.
Geoffrey Howe power of invective was famously described by Dennis Healey as "like being flogged by a dead sheep" - but at the end it did take tremendous courage in the face of Mrs Thatcher's great power to deliver the resignation speech that probably was the major contributor to her own resignation three weeks later.
My strongest impression of the whole programme? How could a world leader have such an enormous deficit of self-perception?
