Happy

Started the day helping out at my local parkrun - meant an early start but enjoyed cheering people as they finished.

Then on to celebrate the fella's birthday - a day early but I'm travelling tomorrow. Decided to treat him (and me) to a fabulous lunch so we went to a nearby 2 Michelin starred place. Booked the kitchen bench which was great - in amongst the chefs prepping for dinner service and making our lunch. They were very friendly and happily answered all our foodie questions. We even ended up getting 2 extra courses they're serving for the first time tonight to add to our 7 course menu! Also decided to splash out on the expensive wine pairing menu - it was fantastic. Great food, great booze and not bad company. What more could I ask for.

Things got even better when we got home as watched Everton beat Chelsea and play v well in the process - I told you Martinez was a good manager!

Today was a good day. I am a very lucky girl to be able to go to such awesome places with the fella.
