My "Sunday"

It's Saturday, but now with my new weekends it's really my "Sunday" since I have to head back to class tomorrow morning and start my week. Got to sleep in a a bit this morning, made some Arabic flashcards, finished my Arabic homework, and then headed off to City Mall with my roommate.

City Mall is a huge mall that has basically any Western convenience you could want. It's an amazing place. My roommate and I walked past every store on all five floors and went in to most of them just looking at all the beautiful stores from Europe, Asia and America. Perfection. We finished up by getting some stuff at the much bigger version of the grocery store we have near our home and them went to Sbarro's Pizza and got a big pizza to take home for dinner. We were very excited!

As my roommate who knows much more Arabic then I do was mildly fighting with our taxi driver as we were leaving )b/c he was completely trying to rip us off because we clearly aren't from here!) I started to take pictures out of the cab. I was trying to take pictures of the mosque nearby but the sun was making it difficult and the road we were on was in a odd position to the mosque. However, I got the shot above. I just started clicking and figured I would look later to see if anything worked...and I really like this shot. It worked well to have the sun messing up my lighting. This is just a man standing on the side of the road near the mosque as we were in line to turn right.

It was a pretty good last day of my weekend. Still adjusting and feeling a bit sick like off and on, but it is what it is. Great to explore a new mall and see all of my amazing options. Gotta get back to my Arabic and finish up...9 hours until class starts again.
