When I got a text from Jen saying that the woman in Eddie's was after me it felt good for two reasons, one, the staff in Eddie's recognise us and, two, Jen was making sashimi for tea. And oh how much sashimi was she making!

Salmon, tuna, squid, scallops (hand dived) and mackerel in abundant quantities, with a Thai prawn soup for starters (the stock being made with the heads and shells of yesterdays prawn balti) it was a feast truly fit for a King and Queen.

Afterwards we took deck chairs and Heineken up to Holyrood park to look for meteors because Jen had heard on the radio that people were seeing huge displays in the sky. We saw 3 in 45 minutes, still it was nice that our deck chairs got some usage.

Jen also bought me a new copy of Permanent Wave by Rush as mine is battered and it is an USA version with a picture label on the record which I haven't seen before so I was well chuffed with that.
