Season of Mellow Fruitfulness

Feels like one of those end of summer autumn days today and we have picked the first apples off the tree. They're a bit small yet but we need apple sauce tomorrow so the first ones are currently cooking in the pan. Hope the rest of them grow a bit bigger as these early ones were a bit fiddly to prepare. The sun is going down in a blaze of glory tonight and the sky is beautifully clear until my eye reaches the horizon where some clouds are lingering.

"...by a cider press, with patient look,
Thou watchest the last oozings, hours by hours."

The patient waiting of maturity and fulfilment.
