Resting

Ok so yesterday our slot for the electrician was 8am to 1pm, which then changed to 8am to 6pm.

At 5.45 he turned up, only his job sheet only said we were out of power, which was not true. But he did stay.

So job 1 find the power supply for the broken light in the studio - turns out floor board up stairs did not need to come up. It turns out that where the pipe work for the boiler has been boxed in also hides another RDC circuit breaker thing.

Job 2 re establish earth up stairs - he found the broken wire, all fixed now.

He left around 7.

So it being late we decided on take out from that fried chicken place with a drive thru. Now it was busy. I ordered and paid for 2 box meals. I got my drinks and waited. I was presented with two bags - I just assumed they'd put a meal in each one. When I got home I discovered we had the box meals I'd paid for plus another box meal and 4 burgers and associated chips. So I put the chicken pieces in the fridge and we scoffed a burger each (they would have just had to throw it out and it was late).

Today I woke up early and in an effort of resting I sat on the sofa and played with metal clay for the first time (I now have to wait for it to dry, sand and finish. Then I get to fire with a blow torch which will turn it into solid metal - ooh magic).

Then I erm decided to sort out the spare room that we'd had to empty and I may have moved a big wardrobe by myself and then by myself I may have re assembled the bed.

Then I decided to make a dog bed, thinking cutting and sewing straight lines wouldn't be too bad. Well yes that wouldn't but then I decided that would be plain and added bits which involved fiddly cutting and sewing. My wrist started to hurt.

The rest of the afternoon I really have been resting, I've stayed put on the sofa.
