All's well that ends well
A lovely day out in Stratford on Avon.
TWW asked me if it was for the theatre or the Stratford Food Festival. It was planned for the Royal Shakespeare Theatre and we hadn't a clue that it was the Food Festival.
Actually you couldn't avoid the festival as it was in front of they theatre and it was great to wander along and sample some of the stuff.
Great cheeses. Two big hog roasts. Marvellous chocolate, fudge, pies, chutneys, mushrooms, food from Thailand, Colombia, the Caribbean, Spain etc etc etc (though the kids serving it were local).
Beers with very rude names and a big wagon where "celebrity" chefs were giving demonstrations.
The happy chappie waving here was luring people to watch the demo given by the chef from Loxleys.
The play was brilliant. It's not one of the bard's best known as it's hard to make the story credible. But this was a wonderful production with terrific humour, staging and acting.
A great day out - and shopping opportunities too :-)
