Never seen these before

Made the most of what could be our last sunny day for a while and popped to the Library then took Leo to the Community Fields for a cycle. He is getting steadier but had a couple of near tree misses!

As he cycled back up the hill to home these pine cones caught my eye - not seen any like these before. They look a bit like slim spiky pineapples. One had dropped off and it disintegrated into loads of tiny pieces when Leo tried to pick it up. If anyone knows what variety these are, let me know, thanks :)
