Independent's Day

Well, how I could I not riff on the date and the team name? A post-match pint with the rounders crew seemed like a good way to mark the time those chaps over the water told us to get stuffed - it worked out quite well for all really! Indeed we split apart from the usual pub gathering (at the Maypole) and headed to the Fort St. George for a change - no queues, but the food was quite slow.

My fondest memory of living in the US as a kid was going to the 4th July events at our friends' houses and being treated as novelty guests rather than enemies of the state!
