Calexico! In Christchurch!

Great to see Calexico playing here in Christchurch. The venue was a temporary structure which was very exotic inside - a sort of Moroccan / Victorian fusion. There were booths around the outside ring and seats in the middle. We got the booth closest to the band and it was great to make eye contact. We even got to talk to the bass player at the end.

They opened with my favourite track "Epic" from their latest album.
