In The Park

Grrreat start to the day with breakfast at our favourite breakfast restaurant Drexels.
The Boss had something completely unmentionable with a side of bacon and The Bossess had eggs from a priest or some such and I had a grrreat view of everyones legs from my spot under the table.

I would like to thank you all for the wonderfully kind things that were said on yesterdays Blip of The Cardboard Cathedral. We were really touched and The Boss was especially touched by the Bossess for mentioning her position in all of this. He has recovered and they are now in Auckland where this report is being prepared so to mini bark.

I am looking out the window on the 9th floor with a spectacular view of the airport (we are right next door) but the sound proofing is amazing as I can't hear a thing.

This pic was done earlier in the day while The Bossess was in a meeting and The Boss was taking me for a walk around Hagley Park. It was a bit challenging as the recent storm had brought a lot foliage and bits if trees down and this with the lingering earthquake damage still there made photography a bit of a challenge.

The Band Rotunda in the background is damaged but low camera angles and background blur all help to hide the usual "Safety Fences"
The Boss says that it was a delight to walk around the gardens of the city of his birth but was disappointed that years after the earthquakes that wreaked havoc on this area much remains with red tape and danger signs. The is however a new visitor centre under construction which looks very exciting.
