East Tennessee Sunset

This afternoon we arrived in Knoxville, East Tennessee. We are visiting with an old friend for a week and look forward to exploring this area which is located within the Appalachian Mountains.

East Tennessee is the home to the nation's most visited national park - the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

We look forward to sharing our images from this area.

Oak Ridge is situated just a few miles away. It was the site of the world's first successful uranium enrichment operations which paved the way for the atomic age.
