Photographic Poeticisms

Back road to nowhere

There's a back road to nowhere
Beginning at a somewhere
That leads to the moorland
Where upon I now stand

There's a road outside our place
And on it there's a space
As empty as this moorland
Where upon I now stand

There's a heart in my breast
That cries at your leaving our nest
It moans like the wind over this moorland
Where upon I now stand

But my child you are free to fly
As the peewit that I hear cry
Over this beautiful wild moorland
Where upon I now stand
