Library of Birmingham

I had a meeting in Birmingham and wanted to see the new library that opened last week. It's the biggest library in Europe and was designed by Dutch architects Mecanoo. I didn't have time to have a proper look around and it was pouring with rain but I could see it's a very impressive building (that looks a bit like a tiered cake actually!) and I especially liked the intricate metal web that wraps around the exterior.
