Unexpected Encounter

After a couple of hours cleaning and tidying ready for the weekend I decided to go for a walk at Middleton RSPB reserve. It was very silent and still and a bit spooky to be honest. I'd just decided to turn back when there was rustling in the grasses and out stalked this pheasant. (not sure if it's a female or a young male). I just managed to grab a couple of shots before he/she trotted off into the woods again and I trotted back to the car :))

Lucy only has a half day today so she'll be home shortly. She's bringing a friend for lunch and to spend the afternoon before getting ready and going off to a party this evening. Rob has the usual football training!
